Ausflugstag

Auch wenn Sie Ihre Kinder nur ungern vom Ferienhof wegbekommen, sollten Sie doch einige Ausflüge einplanen. Die Umgebung des Franzenhofs bietet dafür zu viele Highlights.

Für alle, die sich nicht entscheiden können zwischen Meer und Bergen ist der Bodensee mit seiner mediterranen Leichtigkeit und den massiven Alpen dahinter das ideale Urlaubsziel. Einen Tag an der Uferpromenade flanieren, beim Kibele in Hagnau das beste Eis am Bodensee probieren und mit dem Tretboot auf den Wellen schippern ist genauso möglich wie am nächsten Tag die Wanderschuhe schnüren und binnen einer Stunde mit der Bergbahn in luftige Höhen  schweben und den See von oben aus einer ganz anderen Perspektive zu erleben.

Und zwischen Ferienhof und Bodensee ist alles möglich:

Walks, hiking, excursions ……

The varied topography of the Deggenhausertal offers short walks with the baby carriage as well as long daily hiking.

The health resort Deggenhausertal does not offer positive bioclimatic conditions only but also high­grade gastronomy business and further interesting touristic offers – have a pleasant and relaxing holiday there!


Cycling tours from the farm are demanding from the sporting point of view because we live up the hill! A leisurely tour should be started down in the valley; there you will find wellestablished cycling paths.

Mountain path Höchsten

 The trip up the hill Höchsten is one of three premium hiking trails in the holiday region Gehrenberg­Bodensee that were certified in 2012 and it leads directly past the farm.

The premium hiking trails called ‘Bodensee Landgänge’ connect varied routes and userfriendly markings with spectacular viewpoints to result in a special hiking experience close to nature.

Swing path Deggenhausertal

The 5 km long swing path with 13 (!) different swing stops runs between Roggenbeuren and Urnau. The path is largely asphalted and thus passable with a baby carriage.

Topic paths

Waldlehrpfad Markdorf
The start is at the car park for hikers ‘Gehau’ at the end of the town in the direction of Meersburg, hiking time appr. 1 hour. In the woodland
‘Gehau’, there are boards with interesting information about the region, the forest and agriculture. The circular walk is often used for jogging and Nordic walking, too.

Teuringer Obstwegele
The start is at St­Martin­Platz in Oberteuringen, hiking time appr. 1 hour. The circular path through orchards includes information about fruit and its growing in the region of Lake Constance.

Franziskusweg
The start is in Deggenhausertal­Wittenhofen, hiking time appr. 1.5 – 2 hours. This meditative hiking trail is arranged in accordance with Francis of Assisi’s hymn to the sun.

Riedlehrpfad

Schwäbisch-Allemanischer Mundartweg with VIP path
The start is at the Berggasthof Höchsten (833 m above sea­level). The mountain ‘Höchsten’ offers the longest way to see over the Lake Constance to the Alpine peaks. The circular walk includes many interesting and funny information about the dialect of the region. Many VIPs have left their foot prints and signatures on the way.

Jakobusweg
medieval pilgrimage route in direction to Spanish Santiago de Compostela. On the section Nürnberg­ Einsiedeln (Switzerland), the route goes past the municipalities Oberteuringen and Markdorf in direction of Meersburg, past marvellous orchards and old pilgrimage chapels.

Grüner Radweg
circular path from farm shop to farm shop. Bermatingen and Deggenhausertal.

Car & tractor museum - with the collection of Fritz B. Busch

The new tractor museum in Gebhardsweiler was opened at the end of March 2013. A world of experiences for the whole family was created on more than 10,000 square meters. Including more than 150 tractors from all epochs and workshops of old trades, its own restaurant and an evant room of about 700 square meters, the museum offers a varied exhibition landscape of the visitors. Since springtime 2017, the museum has additionally accommodated old cars, motorbikes and caravans. The exhibits come from the collection of the 'Pope of cars' Fritz B.Busch.

Zeppelin museum - Zeppelin flight

In the Zeppelin museum in Friedrichshafen, you can see the most extensive and important collection on the history and technology of the Zeppelin worldwide.

Affenberg Salem

The circular trail leads you on the appr. 20 hectares large open­air enclosure through the home resort of about 200 Barbary apes living in the wild. The apes may be fed with the popcorn (gratis) especially prepared for them. In addition, there is a stork colony, fallow deer, a pond and, of course, a playground and a restaurant at Affenberg.

Museum Humpis-Quartier

The Humpis­Quartier is one of the best­preserved residential quarters from the Late Middle Ages in South Germany.
